In this paper, you will develop confidence in New Zealand's multicultural settings and broader global contexts, respect for diverse cultural perspectives and the ability to evaluate approaches and solutions to problems. This paper will introduce sustainability and responsible management, focusing on examining critical issues and challenges of environmental, social and economic sustainability for individuals, organisations and the New Zealand nation. You will also get an opportunity to develop an appreciation of how you can make a meaningful contribution to the world of work and society as a whole and in New Zealand in particular.

This paper is offered in FLEXI format, meaning your learning can be done face-to-face (on campus) and/or online. In addition, all sessions will be recorded. This paper employs the principle of active and collaborative learning. Therefore, your involvement with the materials, your lecturer, and your peers will determine a large portion of your learning. Students must attend, whether online or face to face and participate in all sessions to get the most out of the learning activities. Attendance and involvement in all class activities and breakout rooms will be recorded during each session. Students unable to attend sessions due to reasonable reasons must inform the paper convenor in advance.
